What am i doing drinking from the cup or every living water that fills me with joy, where every hug from my children is like a ray of morning sunshine. Where i get to be called mama ( be it what feels like a zillion times a day) but none the less, Mama is a title I of oll women get to bear.
Who am I that after all the partying and drinking, the "entglements" with strange men and I call them this not becasue I did not know them, that I did but that i knew them and yet none was my husband. That familiar phrase, where have i read it befre? oh yes, In the Bible as The Lord Himself tells the Samaritan woman about her life, the many men in her bed and that her current hook up was not her husband!
Why am i here counting my blessings... 1st born, 2nd born,3rd born yet I know that there was one that I chose not to birth, one that i sacrificed and the alter of selfishness becasue after all it would ruin my life, make it harder and i was not ready.
How did you look upon me in my sin and filth, in knowing my ways and what was done in the dark and still shine your light on me? a light that chased away the darkness, the hurt the pain the trauma, the stains and gave me a glow up like i have never seen before.
I am the Samaritan mom, You know itm you said it, everhting i had done, everything i could not dare to speak and yet your Mercy covered over judgement and you saved me. You saw in me a heart of a mother that would inspite my past love her children for you and raise them up as you Will. rom the ashes of abortion, fornication and a bastard came a crown of beauty that they cal MAMA.
thank you Lord.
